Camp Opemikon is owned and operated by Scouts Canada, Voyageur Council.
Camp Opemikon is located on the southern tip of Christie Lake, 100 km
southwest of Ottawa. This idyllic camp on more than 200 acres of rugged
terrain, nestled among three pristine lakes, provides the perfect
Scouting adventure away from busy roads and crowded cities.
Crew Cabin Fund: The old Crew Cabin was built in 1959 and extended in 1984. The Crew Cabin is home to the Venturers, Rovers and Advisors when they volunteer at Camp in the fall, winter and spring. The cabin is in extreme need of being rebuilt for health reasons (mold, ants, bees...), to meet modern code and sleeping arrangement requirements.
The demolition of the old Crew Cabin has started and the construction of the new one will begin April 26, 2008.
